VR READY!!! (in my experience so far) I recently purchased an Asus Zephyrus G14 with a Ryzen 7 5800HS and RTX 3050ti (tdp of 60w). Using my Oculus Quest 2 (with air link) running at 72hz and native resolution I have so far comfortably ran Vivecraft at default settings (other than 16 chunks) and the Team Fortress 2/ Surgeon Simulator Demo
You can't sideload half life alyx into a quest 2. It is impossible. Either you're Messing around, or you don't know what sideloading is, or you don't know which half life games is half life alyx. Yeah, I’m pretty sure you could play it with just about any old VR headset. Yes, I believe that tested did a video on this before the game came out
VR. As the title says, I finished HL:A without VR and it's not that good. I used a mod called Half-Life: Alyx no vr mod, it isn't like the pancake vr mod, this one lets you play with Alyx's weapons and tries to simulate VR. It's pretty weird at first, but I got used to it. And now that I finished the game all I can say is that it's not worth
Let’s jump right into the HTC Vive 99HARJ000-00 Headset, which is assisted with features including tracking movement of eyes for playing Halflife Alyx and different comfortability factors for different sizes. Combined with two months of free gameplay is amazing. Dimensions are 22.3 x 14.9 x 8.7 inches.
The finger tracking is nearly identical and you can just buy haptic gloves anyway. No clue where you're getting that from. $300 for a Quest 2 and $60 for Alyx. Even if you don't like Facebook it's still only $600 (always on sale for $500 direct from HP, including right now) for a Reverb G2 and $60 for Alyx.
Blade & Sorcery. Half-Life: Alyx does a great job of establishing you as an actual person within the confined walls of City 17. Everything feels intuitive, whether you are simply pushing open a Here’s what you need to do to get a sharper image (higher fidelity level) in Alyx: Disable Steam VR’s “motion smoothing” Set the headset’s refresh rate to 80Hz or 90Hz instead of 120Hz. The lower the refresh rate, the longer the GPU time window and thus the higher the fidelity level (resolution) the game will choose. Half Life Alyx - No Vr Mod - Progress Update. True. It will probably be incredibly easy as well, as mouse aiming is vastly easier to do than "real" aiming. Honestly, no, I think it's fairly safe to say that unless you have some very strange taste in gameplay, this will not be fun for you, what makes it interesting and fun as a VR experience The minimum spec for Half-Life: Alyx says 12GB in terms of system memory, but that would either lead to some weird asymmetrical 8GB / 4GB stick combo, or three 4GB sticks filling out your It’s the third game of the series that’s coming out: 1- Half-Life (Blue Shift, Opposing Force) 2- Half-Life 2 and its episodes 3- Half-Life VR: Alyx. So, I just counted. Reply The new Medal of Honor game is releasing soon. No clue how good it actually is, but it is definitely a AAA game. 2 yr. ago. Boneworks and Saints & Sinners. DrDoesntCare 2 yr. ago. Boneworks. Techically not AAA but definitely one of the best vr games ever made. DKLeonLettMetcalf 2 yr. ago. Subnautica 1 and 2. It’s a PCVR game and you’ll need a PC to run it. When people talk about playing PCVR games on the Quest Wirelessly, the PC is still the thing doing the work to run the game. The quest is just decoding a video being sent over the network. Alyx doesn’t require a really expensive computer though. A mid range gaming PC will handle it fine. Half-Life: Alyx is Valve's first flagship VR title, and it's the first new Half-Life game in well over a decade. Valve has, once again, lived up to its pedigree as one of the world's foremost

It depends what you're looking for. As a little adventure and an opportunity to dive back into the Half-life world, yeah, it'd be good. You'd also get to see events that happened between HL1 and 2. If you actually want decent combat and gameplay then, imho, no. Combat would have to be re-worked (more enemies that move faster and in a more

Red Matter is a exploration/puzzle game and has some of the best graphics on Quest 2. Also the Room VR has good puzzles and graphics. Neither have the same sort of combat as HL:Alyx . Merchol • 2 yr. ago. Arizona Sunshine reminds me of Alyx in some mechanics. Not the graphics doe. These are more HL1.

At end of the day, it was a tech demo for Index. Best VR physics engine ever, but less actual content than the 2004 Half Life 2. Same corridor shooter with same repetitive scenes. An inn in Skyrim VR like JK's Banner's Mare has more movable objects and NPCs than an entire stage of Half Life Alyx. While it strengthens the game, you don't need to have played prior Half-Life games. I wouldn't delay Alyx by the 15 or so hours it'd take to get through Half-Life 2 and its two Episodes. If you like the universe, they're excellent games to play after Alyx as well. As along long time big Half-Life fan I think you do yourself a big disservice in I heard about a mod that allows you to play Alyx without a vr headset like a regular Half life. But honestly, I will not recommend it because it will remove what's making HL Alyx so special. Vr movement will be replaced by simple mouse or key clicks, actions like throwing a grenade or interacting with anything will be pointless. .
